Packing Day in my Studio

It was packing day in my studio. 😎 Simpatico was going to a new home. I took a few pictures to show you my packing process.

Simpatico hanging on my easel. This oil painting measures 24 x 24 x 1.5 inches.

I cut down a piece of foamcore to 24 x 24 inches.

I cut down a piece of cardboard to 24 x 24 inches.

I have a long roll of glassine paper. This paper is fantastic! It's a smooth, glossy paper that's air, water and grease resistant. I cut a piece that measured 32 x 32 inches and wrapped the front and sides with the paper. The black panel you see here is my cutting board.

Foamcore was placed on the front of the painting. Cardboard was placed on the back of the painting. I used painter's tape to secure the painting between the foam core and cardboard panels. I wrote the word TOP on the top of the foamcore.

I found this beautiful wrapping paper at Hobby Lobby.

For the final touch I taped on a big sage green bow. The Certificate of Authenticity and care instructions were placed inside the bag. I added my business card too.

I delivered the painting to my client. He's giving it to his wife for her birthday. Very fun!
