Royalty - Purple Passionflower Perennial Climbing Tendril Bearing Vine with Colorful Green Leaves

Royalty was painted in two stages. I had to wait for the background to dry before I painted the corona filaments.

I had never seen this flower in person. One of my dear friends invited me over to see her passionflowers. What an amazing site! Her front garden was filled with these beautiful flowers. I took a few reference photos. I knew I needed to paint this incredibly unique flower.
