PopTart - Penguin Portrait - Graphite and Charcoal Drawing
PopTart lives in the Penguin Encounter habitat at SeaWorld® San Diego. He's a Macaroni Penguin. I met him during our recent trip to San Diego.
He lives with hundreds of other penguins.
It was so wonderful seeing them waddle, swim, and nap that we decided to purchase tickets for a behind the scenes Penguin Encounter tour. Clementine, a penguin expert, brought PopTart in from the cold to meet us. I touched his feathers. I studied his form. I could not wait to get home and draw his portrait.
It was a wonderful experience to get so close to these very friendly lovable creatures. I wrote about our experience in my blog post titled PopTart the Penguin.
