Wisconsin State Flower - The Wood Violet
The wood violet (Viola papilionacea) is the state flower of Wisconsin. The flowers are five-petaled. They are small and delicate.
I used my water-based dual brush marker pens to make extremely small pen marks. Look to see the tufts near the center of the side petals. Look at the numerous purple and blue pen strokes making up the petals.
One of my favorite attributes about Wisconsin's wood violet is the plant's heart-shaped leaves.
