Scarlet - Red Iceland Poppy Art

I like to paint on thick watercolor paper. The thicker, the better! I've found that I can keep adding more paint to make darker colors.

With Scarlet, I kept adding layers of three shades of red. The texture of the petals looks velvety. Love this!
