Oklahoma State Floral Emblem - The Mistletoe
The mistletoe is a semi-parasitic plant with thick leaves, white berries and small yellow flowers. This little plant is popular at Christmas. Every year I hang an ornament of Mistletoe in my kitchen doorway.
The thick leaves are drawn with long brush strokes. Zoom in to see the little yellow flowers. I used the light yellow color to make the white berries stand out.
