Hawthorn Blossom - State Flower of Missouri Art Print by Trae Mundt.

Missouri State Flower - The Hawthorn Blossom

The legislators in Missouri officially declared the blossom of the "red haw or "wild haw" and scientifically designated as crataegus to be the floral emblem of Missouri.

The Hawthorn blossoms are small, dainty and white. They are five-petaled and grow in clusters. The leaves are lobed and serrated. Before going to press I added a very light yellow background to accentuate the white blossoms. Beautiful!
