Colorado State Flower - The White & Lavender Columbine

In the state of Colorado the White and Lavender Columbine is revered above all other flowers. The shape of the blossom attracts hummingbirds. The crisp whites and lavender blues are gorgeous amongst Colorado's rich landscape.

My original columbine drawing measures approximately 24 x 16 inches. Researching and drawing the flower took time. With a gentle hand I sketched the outline. I made marks where I wanted to add details. I erased the lines and marks after the pen strokes dried.
